Harvest Sunday Collection

St. Joan of Arc Parish has a long history of participating in Harvest Sunday, our largest parish-wide service project, which collects food donations and other consumable items for our neighbors in need. The year 2020 has challenged those struggling financially even more with COVID-19 and economic hardship.

Due to physical distancing restrictions, Harvest Sunday will minimize contact with those dropping off their donation. Donations may be brought to the SJA North parking lot on Sunday, November 15th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Please enter the North parking lot from Front Street only. Lisle Township, Fish and West Suburban Food pantries will be here to accept your generous donations.

Please do NOT bring food donations to the church or Parish Office.

The following items are needed to restock our local food pantries:
  • All canned goods: Soups, chili, beans, vegetables, fruits, spaghettios, broth, beef stew, chili
  • Ready-made food items: Jelly, peanut butter, cereal, mac and cheese, boxed meals
  • Other items: Sugar, flour, deodorant, toothpaste, toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissues, baby wipes, bar soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, diapers, low carbohydrate/diabetic diet, gluten-free food

PLEASE, NO EXPIRED OR OPENED FOODS.

For more information or to volunteer during collection hours (must be 18 or older to volunteer), contact Sandy Razka, Parish Nurse/Outreach Ministries Coordinator, at 630-353-4533 or srazka@sjalisle.org. Physical distancing, face masks and hand sanitizer are required.
