Events Ministry Volunteers Needed

SJA Events Ministry provides an opportunity for parishioners to put their time and talent to use for the events and activities of the parish that require "helping hands." Our events often require the help of many people to organize, set-up, run and clean up afterwards.

This ministry is made up of a pool of parishioner volunteers, from teens through any age. The volunteers are called or emailed when a need arises. At that time, one can either accept or decline one of the opportunities to serve. Needs change with each event, but may include: Running a segment of an event; Door greeting; Doing dishes; Setting-up the event; Cleaning-up after the event; Running for the needs of a Speaker; Ushering; And so much more… Once a volunteer has agreed to a certain position, all the details will be explained. Then the volunteer will be responsible for making sure they are present (with a smile and joyful heart) at the required times to fulfill their commitment.

Each volunteer will need to complete Protecting God's Children and register through the Virtus platform. Additional steps may be necessary to be complaint.

The goal is to have many helpers so that there is never a need for just a few people to handle everything; but ra- ther, there are enough people to rotate so that no one would need to be involved and working at every event. Thank you in advance for your consideration!
