New Director of Finance and Administration

by Rev. Gabriel Baltes, O.S.B.  |  05/12/2024  |  A Message from Our Pastor

Dear Parishioners,

I am pleased to announce that after a lengthy and diligent search, we have hired a new Director of Finance and Administration to replace Leanne Van Gronigen who served in this position for four years. You may recall that Leanne was hired at Visitation Parish in Elmhurst for a new position that provided the additional challenge for which she was looking. During our search for her replacement, Leanne continued to work at our parish part time to keep our finances in the excellent condition that she maintained throughout her employment here. I am most grateful for her loyalty and willingness to assist us through that time of transition.

Our new Finance Director is Lori Trinche. Lori is a native Illinoisan and the youngest of three children. Her father died when she was 13 years old – an experience that instilled a strong work ethic in her at such a tender age. She was the first college graduate in her family and completed her BSBA in finance and accounting at Roosevelt University in Chicago while working full time during the early years of her marriage. Later she also completed an MBA while continuing to work full time. Lori was blessed to have been married to her husband Chris for 23 years, 18 of which were spent in Glen Ellyn. She is now a widow who generously serves the Lord and His church. It is worth noting that in the early centuries of Christendom, there was a specific order or classification of members known as “The Widows.” These were pious women, sometimes formally consecrated, who devoted themselves to prayer and works of charity. In some cases, they contributed their inheritance to the support of faith communities thereby fostering the rapid grow of the Christian faith in this early period. Lori worked as a finance professional for over 20 years. Most recently she has served the church at large for the Northern IL District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in stewardship, administration and as a human care liaison. She came to the church through a Grief Share program at Trinity Lutheran Church in Burr Ridge following her husband’s death. This was a particularly difficult time in her life. She was warmly welcomed, baptized and instructed in the faith having been mentored and encouraged by many kind and caring Christians.

Currently, she is active in the music ministry of her church by playing the trombone. She also leads a ladies Bible study, ministers as an usher and cares for the seniors in her congregation who have various human care needs. She is thankful for the life changing ministry of the church through outreach to the community at large.

Filled with love for the Lord and his people, Lori is also passionately involved in Pro-Life ministries. She holds a special place in her heart for those who are vulnerable including the unborn, the elderly and the widowed. Recently, she diligently worked to help open a maternity home (Redeeming Life Outreach Ministries) for single moms in crisis pregnancies in East Dundee.

Now, with joyful enthusiasm, Lori has returned home to the Lisle area and assumed her new role as the Director of Finance & Administration for our parish and school. In her leisure, Lori enjoys the outdoors, reading, gardening, the companionship of many dear friends, and her little orange cat.

I am delighted to welcome Lori to our parish staff, and am grateful for her eagerness to share God’s blessings with us.
